MU Physics and Astronomy department offers a course in scientific outreach: "Science Outreach: Public Understanding of Science" cross-listed as Physics 8350

Graduate students are encouraged to participate in public outreach, and can even earn a Certificate!

Past Activities

BIOPHYSICS AND YOUR BODY was a week-long, half-day summer science enrichment program for middle-school students (ages 11-13). Students learned about the field of biophysics and how scientists work in this field. Activities focused on how biophysicists study ears, eyes, skeletal muscles, energy and metabolism and how biophysicists use observations and inferences in their work to study things too small to be seen.
